Paris Saint-Germain won the 2022 French Super Cup for the 11th time in its history, after its great victory over Nantes, which includes Egyptian Mostafa Mohamed, 4-0 at Bloomfield Stadium, on Sunday evening.
Mustafa Mohamed started the match on the bench of Nantes’ bench, but coach Antoine Comparih made him a substitute at the 64th minute, to write his first official appearance in the yellow team shirt, after joining on loan from the Turkish Galatasaray.
Mostafa Mohamed, the 24-year-old former Zamalek star, failed to win his first title in his professional career in Europe.

Saint-Germain played the French Super this year after winning the local league title last season, while Nantes won the French Cup.
Saint-Germain, who dominated most of the match, advanced with a goal through Lionel Messi in the 22nd minute, then Neymar da Silva strengthened his team’s lead in the second minute of stoppage time in the first half.
Sergio Ramos added the third goal in the 57th minute, before Neymar returned and scored the fourth goal from a penalty kick he obtained himself in the 80th minute.

Nantes completed the last ten minutes of the match, missing the services of Cameroonian defender Jean-Charles Castellito, who caused the penalty kick that came from the Parisians’ fourth goal, and he was sent off.
Saint-Germain increased its score in the list of the most crowned clubs in the French Super, after winning the 11th title, compared to 7 titles for Lyon, who ranked second.
Saint-Germain regained the French Super Cup, after losing it last year with a goal at the hands of Lille on the same stadium.
Paris Saint-Germain started the match with great pressure on Nantes, and before the completion of the fifth minute at the start whistle, Ashraf Hakimi threatened the yellow team’s goal with a powerful shot that the goalkeeper responded, after a distinctive pass from Messi.
Two minutes later, Sarabia received a longitudinal through ball inside the penalty area, turning it directly “on the bird” towards the goal, but it crossed the crossbar, in a second threat during the first ten minutes.
The pressure of Saint-Germain continued, and the Nantes crosser hit a strong header from defender Marquinhos in the 14th minute.
On the other hand, Nantes threatened the Saint-Germain goal twice in a row in two minutes. In the 18th minute, the Nigerian Simon Moses hit a ground ball past the right post, and a minute later Ludovic Blass fired a missile from the edge of the penalty area, which Gianluigi Donnarumma brilliantly converted into a corner kick.
In the 22nd minute, Messi scored a wonderful goal after receiving a through ball from Neymar, and dribbled past goalkeeper Lafont and deposited the ball into the empty net.
Neymar posed a threat to Nantes’s goal at the 37th minute after receiving a ball, and shot next to the left post, but the referee indicated that the Brazilian star was in an offside position.
Messi almost scored a second goal one minute before the end of the original time of the first half, when he started from the right side, and hit the far corner, but goalkeeper Lafont shined and cleared the ball.
Neymar added the second goal for Paris Saint-Germain against Nantes in the third minute of added time, with a direct free kick on the edge of the penalty area.
The appearance of Mustafa Muhammad
As was the case at the beginning of the first half, Paris Saint-Germain entered the second half with offensive pressure on its opponent in search of a third goal, and indeed got his wish at the 57th minute of the match when Sergio Ramos scored the third goal with the “heel of the foot” from inside the six-yard area.
Antoine Comparit, coach of Nantes, pushed Mustafa Mohamed, at the 64th minute, at the expense of Pedro Chirivilla, to write the first appearance of the Pharaohs striker with the French team.
Neymar launched a quick attack, and passed a through ball to substitute Thilo Kerrier on the left side, but he shot it powerfully into the net from outside in the 79th minute.
Neymar received a penalty kick in the 80th minute after being obstructed by Nantes player Charles Castellito inside the penalty area, and the Brazilian winger managed to score the kick successfully, scoring the fourth goal, while the Cameroonian defender received a red card.
