A menorah memorial to the Jewish victims of Babin Yar in Kyiv

When a Russian shell hit the main radio and television tower in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, a short distance from the Babin Yar Holocaust Remembrance Center, it stirred up painful memories not only for Ukrainian Jews, but also for Jews around the world.

It is not clear whether the Russians targeted that center, and most likely they were interested in stopping the broadcasts of Kyiv TV stations, and 5 people were killed in that bombing.
