The Competitions Committee of the Saudi Football Association announced today, Thursday evening, the schedule of matches for the first round of the new season of the Saudi League 2022-2023, which starts on August 25.

The tenth round of the Saudi League will witness an Egyptian confrontation, where Al-Ittihad, which includes the duo Ahmed Hegazy and Tariq Hamed, will meet its counterpart Al-Taawoun, which includes Mustafa Fathi, at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Jeddah.

Al-Ittihad will open its matches in the season by facing Al-Adala on Friday, August 26, while Al-Taawoun begins its season the next day with the Al-Fateh match.

Al-Ittihad concludes its matches in the first round by meeting Al-Tai in the 15th round, while Al-Taawon will play against Al-Batin in the same round, in two matches, the dates of which will be determined later.

As for Al Hilal, last season’s title holder, it starts its season against Al Khaleej on Thursday 25 August, and ends the first round by meeting Al Raed.

The fifth round is witnessing a clash between Al-Nasr and Al-Ittihad, while the tenth round will witness the Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal derby, and the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal will come in the 12th round.

It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly was relegated to the Saudi First Division last season.
