Ali Al-Badwawi is one of the latest names to join the list of trainers at the Dubai Racing Club, after a strong career he started from scratch, which was full of adventures and unforgettable memories. Al-Badawi, who hails from the Hatta region, As our international coach, Saeed bin Suroor, he opened his heart to “Al Bayan” in his first interview with a media outletDuring which he talked about the difficult beginnings and his expectations for the new season:

To whom do you owe credit for entering the world of training?

At the outset, I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court and President of the Emirates Racing Authority. Horses, for their Highness’s unlimited support to the equestrian and horse racing community, especially the local youth.

I also thank Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Vice-President of the Emirates Racing Authority and President of the Dubai Racing Club, and Major General Dr. Muhammad Issa Al-Adab, Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of the club, for their precious confidence in appointing me as a coach in the club, hoping that I will be up to the responsibility in this the place.

How did your relationship with horse racing begin?

The idea of entering this battle came to me since I always went to Dubai to watch horses, and certainly also our international trainer Saeed bin Suroor, who trains horses and achieves achievements locally and globally. Indeed, my coach Mahmoud Al Zarouni and I joined Rod Simpson’s stables team.

Did you get started directly in the training world, or did you enter this world gradually?

It is a long journey, I started from scratch, through which I learned everything in the world of horses. Do not think for one moment that I entered this field directly, but I went through a number of long experiences, whether in the country or abroad, as I was sent to Britain, Ireland and America to gain knowledge and knowledge in this The great world, through which I got acquainted with a number of big names in this field, such as coach John Hills and Richard Mandela, which qualified me to work after that as an assistant to former coach Arwin Sharpe in the Emirates, and thankfully we gained the trust of everyone through my appointment as coach in the club.

special relationship

Since the announcement of your joining the list of coaches, everyone has begun to associate our global coach Saeed bin Suroor with you?

Our international coach, Saeed bin Suroor, and I belong to the Hatta region. I think that the link came from here. I am proud of the relationship I have with our international coach, who contacted me from the first moment and congratulated me, and gave me a number of valuable advice.

Have you begun to feel the responsibility placed on you, especially that you will manage the same stable that was supervised by the “Dean of Coaches”, former coach Ali Rashid Al-Raihi?

It is undoubtedly a great responsibility, as you must take care of all the small and big details, and as you know there is no comfort in training and I aspire to be up to the responsibility and the accumulation of experience will contribute to relieving pressure, with the help of my team in the stable who have long experience that qualifies them to contribute to achieving the desired results .

my own accounts

Where do you find yourself in the new season, especially since you are at the beginning of your training career?

Our local races every season are always full of surprises due to the accumulated experiences in this field by my fellow coaches who preceded me in this field and achieved a large number of achievements. I add what I have learned to our races, and at the same time I learn from everyone, because life is a school of experiences and learning in it is continuous, does not mean that I became a coach, so I should stop learning new things, and not learn from my mistakes, but on the contrary, I should be humble Even at the moment of victory, despair should not creep in at the first defeat, especially as I expect the next season to be strong and exciting on all tracks of the country.

Advice for Emirati youth wishing to enter this field?

Patience and not rushing, and they should know that the beginning must be from scratch and familiarity with all matters, and I am sure that we have competent citizens who are able in this field.
