New hotels in Dubai for 2023

Since its reopening for tourism, travelers have been flocking to Dubai, the capital of the emirate of Dubai and the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai recorded more than seven million tourist arrivals in the first half of 2022.

Famous for its innovative architecture, including the tallest building in the world, Dubai is always making great new building projects. The Museum of the Future, elliptical and covered in Arabic calligraphy, opened on February 22, 2022. Here are some hotel openings planned in Dubai for 2023 and beyond, including what will be the sky.

Kempinski Floating Palace

One of the most unusual new hotels in Dubai will float. Moored off Jumeirah Beach, the floating Kempinski Palace will be a five-star luxury hotel with a main building topped by a glass pyramid that will house 156 rooms and suites. Twelve two-story villas are connected by pontoons, each with an infinity-edge pool and rooftop terrace. Yachts will be able to pass through the main building and berth at one of 16 yacht parking spots. You can also arrive by speedboat or land at the hotel’s floating helipad. Kempinski is the oldest luxury hotel group in Europe, having established its first hotel in 1897 in Berlin.

One&Only One Zabeel

The new One & Only One Zabeel will be housed in the stunning One Za’abeel building designed by Nikken Sekkei. This unique building has two glass towers connected by the “world’s tallest cantilevered building”, called The Link, which appears to float between the two towers. The Link’s glass walls will provide panoramic views 100 meters above the ground, and will feature a superb swimming pool, health services, as well as dining, entertainment and shopping. On the 25th floor of the building and just above The Link will be the One & Only One Za’abeel Spa & Fitness Center, which features a stunning glass-walled infinity pool. The new complex joins two other properties in One&Only Dubai; It will contain 229 hotel rooms and suites as well as 94 residential units, and will offer exclusive luxury experiences, like all One&Onlys.

Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab

Another new architectural marvel in Dubai is the Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, which will look like a futuristic superyacht. It is joined by the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in the form of a sail and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in the form of a wave. This new hotel will contain 386 rooms and suites as well as 83 serviced apartment suites.

Mandarin Oriental Tour has arrived

Mandarin Oriental will open a second luxury hotel in Dubai in 2023 with the Mandarin Oriental Tour arriving. The 63-storey tower will feature 257 rooms and suites as well as private residences and views of Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai. Recognized for its excellent services, signature spas, and Michelin-starred chefs, the new Mandarin Oriental hotel in Dubai is sure to impress.

More new hotels in Dubai in 2023

The tallest hotel in the world

Dubai is currently home to the world’s tallest hotel, the Gevora Hotel—and will soon welcome a new competitor, Ciel. Sky is under construction near Palm Jumeirah; The 82-story building is due for completion in late 2023 and is expected to open in 2024. Once completed, the Ciel will be 1,197 feet tall, nearly 30 feet taller than the Gevora. Ciel will have a rooftop pool, Sunset Lounge on the 74th floor, and an observatory and lounge on the 82nd floor with 360-degree views of Dubai.
